Hearts in Hands relies on volunteers to serve those in our community who need it most.
Volunteers are needed in the following areas:
Project Leaders: We need leaders of small teams to coordinate the construction of wheelchair ramps for disabled clients. Volunteer teams typically meet on Saturday for a half day project. Project leaders will sketch out the ramp installation and determine materials needed.
Handymen: We need men and women who are gifted at performing small household repairs in teams of two or three people. A handyman needs to have his/her own tools and be willing to work a few weekdays per month on small projects. Materials will be provided. Volunteers really enjoy getting to know people from all walks of life.
Client Relations Volunteers: Volunteers are needed to help elderly and disabled clients with various household and transportation needs, especially to doctor’s appointments.
New volunteers will be contacted to discuss our current needs.
