Eligibility Guidelines

Hearts In Hands, Inc. (HIH) believes that in order to be good stewards of the resources that have been entrusted to us, we must establish guidelines for client eligibility that enable us to carry out our mission of serving the poor and needy in our community who do not have the resources to help themselves. HIH does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetic information.
The following guidelines have been adopted for services provided by Hearts In Hands, Inc.:

  6. Clients with incomes above the 0% contribution level and up to the 50% subsidy      level ill be eligible for services, but will be expected to pay 50% of the costs of the project.
  7. Clients with incomes above the 50% level and up to the 100% contribution level are      eligible for services, but will be expected to pay 100% of the costs of the project.

Hearts In Hands recognizes that unusual financial or physical hardships can occur. In such cases, the income eligibility limits outlined above might be too restrictive for these particular clients. These hardship exceptions will be evaluated on a cases-by-case basis and may be granted only with the recommendation of the Director of Client Relations and the approval by a majority of the Board of Directors. In all cases, the decision of the Board of Directors is final.
